Health Focus – Community – Southern Architecture
This 24,000 square foot contact center leverages a wellness forward approach. In addition to the typical ADA requirements, extra care was taken to provide supplemental accessibility through measures such as additional wheelchair height seating opportunities, 6 new universal restrooms, and automatic openers at all major doors. Wellness was prioritized by including biophilia throughout, providing separate wellness and lactation rooms, and a large quiet room for meditative breaks. Additionally, each quadrant contains a custom designed “hydration station”.
Inspired by traditional residential architecture of the region, the lounge area has nods to a front porch by greeting users with rocking chairs and lots of natural light. Meanwhile the cafe performs more like a backyard with picnic style seating and dreamy string lighting. A large wooden ceiling fixture connects the two spaces like the roots of a Southern live oak.
